Our installation covers a total rooftop area of 5,500m², spanning three buildings in the premise. It consists of 1,020 solar panels utilizing P-type Mono-Facial technology, along with 10 On-grid String Inverters with a capacity of 50kW each. This solar plant will play a crucial role in delivering reliable and efficient solar energy, contributing to Chad’s efforts in reduce carbon dioxide emissions. The solar system is scheduled to commence operations in 2024. It will generate 871 MWh of electricity annually. Image from our Solar Rooftop Installation in Moundou, Chad Energy Recovery through Waste Recycling In Benin, we are meeting 12% of our energy demand through recovery of cashew shell waste, generated during cashew cultivation. These shells are used generating energy for stationary activities. By utilizing cashew shell waste as fuel, we aim to reduce the amount of waste that ends up in landfills and promote a more sustainable approach to resource management. LEED Certifications for Benin and Togo We are continuously improving our sustainability initiatives by committing to goals that aim to safeguard ecosystems and achieving carbon neutrality. In the same belief, we are proud to state that we have achieved LEED BD+C (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification from the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), for our SWC building in Benin and Togo. LEED certification offers a framework for creating healthy, highly efficient, and costsaving low-carbon intensive buildings that provide environmental, social, and governance benefits.
