The waste cashew nutshells can be utilized as fuel at our operations or transformed into activated carbon for low-cost water purification filters. CNSW accounts for nearly 90% of waste generated from our cashew units. We are in the process of developing CNSL and RCN processing plants. Conversion of the waste generated at our operations to biofuel can significantly enhance energy efficiency, create additional income opportunities, and support corporate-level climate action. The plant construction is almost complete, and the project will be fully operational in a few months. The CNSL plant and Raw Cashew nut (RCN) processing plants will absorb 47,400 metric tons of cashew nut shells every year. 40% of CNSW and 36% of total waste generated from raw cashew nut processing operations will be processed into CNSL. The CNSL Plant is projected to produce 9,185 tons of CNSL Oil, 8,350 tons of Bio-Charcoal. Cashew processing plant at GDIZ, Benin
